Jona Xiao (born May 18, 1989) is an American actress born in China. She was born in Changsha, China, and moved to New York as an infant before settling in St. Louis, Missouri with her family. Xiao started acting in middle school and faced racial slurs like 'chink' and 'yellow,' which motivated her to break stereotypes through acting. She founded Career ACTivate, a platform that helps actors advance their careers. Xiao was cast in Spider-Man: Homecoming, with Marisa Tomei advocating for her despite her role being initially non-Asian. Unfortunately, her part was cut from the final film. In 2021, she provided the voice for a younger Namaari in Raya and the Last Dragon.
