Jonas Armstrong

Jonas Armstrong, born William Jonas Armstrong, is an Irish actor best known for his role as Robin Hood in the BBC One drama series of the same name. He made his television debut in 2004, appearing in episodes of the British comedy-drama Teachers and the crime drama series The Ghost Squad. Armstrong gained recognition in 2006 when he landed the lead role in the BBC's Robin Hood series. During his time on the show, he broke a metatarsal bone in his foot. Armstrong has also made appearances on panel game show Never Mind the Buzzcocks. Despite his success as Robin Hood, he left the series in 2008.
