Jonathan Peter Kasdan (born September 30, 1979) is an American film and television screenwriter, director, producer, and actor. He is best known for his directorial debut, In the Land of Women, which was released in 2007. Kasdan also wrote the film, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2006. He has worked as a writer for the American television series Freaks and Geeks and has appeared as an actor in Dawson's Creek and Dreamcatcher. Kasdan had his acting debut in 1983 in his father's film, The Big Chill. He was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease during his junior year of high school. Additionally, Kasdan uncreditedly wrote an earlier draft for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023).
