Jonathan Llyr Biography
Jonathan Llyr (born 1966) is a Canadian actor and TV personality. He gained recognition as an on-air personality for Space, Canada's science fiction specialty channel. Llyr first appeared on Space in 1998 as Grot, the alien barfly and ultimate Star Trek fan on the late-night movie interstitial program, SpaceBar. He later took on writing duties for the show. After SpaceBar's cancellation in 2002, Llyr became the host of HypaSpace, Space's entertainment news program. He remained as host until 2005 and continued as one of the show's reporters. Llyr also hosted the weekly audio podcast version of HypaSpace and the network's annual Spacey Awards.
