Murdoch Mysteries

Set in turn-of-the-century Toronto, a detective applies emerging forensic science to investigate crimes, often aided by a determined female coroner seeking professional recognition. The series adapts stories by Maureen Jennings and portrays period technology, police procedure, and social attitudes as central elements of its case-focused narratives, including historical context elements.
