Jonnie Peacock MBE is an English sprint runner and Paralympic gold medalist. Born on May 28, 1993, in Cambridge, Peacock grew up in the village of Shepreth. At the age of 5, he contracted meningitis, resulting in the amputation of his right leg below the knee. Despite his disability, Peacock discovered his passion for sports and became a successful athlete. He won gold medals in the T44 men's 100 metres event at both the 2012 and 2016 Summer Paralympics, representing Great Britain. Peacock also won a bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Paralympics. Throughout his career, he has achieved numerous accolades and is known for setting a new world record in amputee sprinting in 2012.
