Jose Moreno Brooks

Jose Moreno Brooks is an American actor known for his role as Gael Garnica on the NBC comedy Telenovela. Born and raised in San Jose, California, Brooks attended Bellarmine College Preparatory before earning a degree in Economics and Philosophy from the University of California, Los Angeles. Despite his academic background, he chose to pursue a career in modeling and acting. In addition to his work on Telenovela, Brooks has appeared in MTV's One Bad Choice and had guest roles on The Nine Lives of Chloe King, The Game, and Big Time Rush. He also has a background in semi-pro soccer. Brooks announced his engagement to Erica Silverstein, Senior Vice President of Business Affairs at NBCUniversal Media, in February 2021.
