Joseph Ruskin Biography
Joseph Ruskin (April 14, 1924 – December 28, 2013) was an American character actor known for his work in television and film. Born as Joseph Richard Schlafman in Haverhill, Massachusetts, Ruskin graduated high school in Cleveland before serving in the U.S. Navy. He studied drama at Carnegie Mellon University and started his acting career at the Pittsburgh Playhouse. Ruskin appeared in various TV shows including The Outer Limits, The Time Tunnel, Mission: Impossible, and Hogan's Heroes. He had a voice role as the Kanamits in The Twilight Zone episode 'To Serve Man' and played the genie in another episode called 'The Man in the Bottle'. Ruskin continued to work on stage throughout his career.
