Josh Mostel

Joshua Mostel is an American actor known for his work in film and on Broadway. Born on December 21, 1946, in New York City, he is the son of renowned actor Zero Mostel. Mostel has appeared in numerous supporting roles in films such as Jesus Christ Superstar (1973), Harry and Tonto (1974), Sophie's Choice (1982), City Slickers (1991), Billy Madison (1995), and Big Daddy (1999). He began his career as a boy soprano at the Metropolitan Opera and later made his Broadway debut in 1971. Mostel's notable television appearance includes his role as Blotto Blutars in Delta House (1979). He is also the brother of painter and ceramic artist Tobias Mostel.
