Josh Thomson

Josh Thomson, born Joshua Joseph Thomson on September 21, 1978, is an American mixed martial arts podcaster, commentator, analyst, and former mixed martial artist. He has competed in various organizations including Bellator MMA, PRIDE, Strikeforce, UFC, and the World Fighting Alliance. Thomson is known for his accomplishments as a former Strikeforce World Lightweight Champion and former Strikeforce U.S. Lightweight Champion. Born and raised in San Jose, California, Thomson faced discrimination and often got into fights due to his half-European-American and half-Mexican heritage. After a juvenile hall incident, he moved to Idaho to live with his father, where he competed in wrestling at both high school and junior college levels.
