Joy Tanner

Joy Tanner (born March 7, 1966) is an American-born Canadian actress known for her roles in various TV shows and movies. She gained recognition for portraying George Fayne in the 1995 Nancy Drew TV series and Jill Stone in Cold Squad. Tanner also appeared as Nora McDonald Venturi in the popular sitcom Life with Derek for four seasons, as well as its movie finale Vacation with Derek. Additionally, she provided the voice for Candy Kong in the animated series Donkey Kong Country. With an honors B.A. from SUNY Potsdam and training from the British America Drama Academy, Tanner recently earned her masters degree from the University of Toronto’s Centre For Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies while filming Locke And Key for Netflix. She is currently a PhD student at York University.
