Juan Luis Guerra

Juan Luis Guerra Seijas (born June 7, 1957) is a Dominican musician, singer, composer, and record producer. With 15 million records sold worldwide, Guerra is one of the best-selling Latin music artists. He has received numerous awards including 23 Latin Grammy Awards, three Grammy Awards, and one Latin Billboard Music Award. In 2010, he won three Latin Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year. Guerra is internationally recognized and has achieved considerable success throughout Latin America with his popular style of merengue and Latin fusion. He is also credited for popularizing bachata music globally, infusing it with a traditional bolero rhythm and bossa-nova influenced melodies and harmony in some of his songs.
