Jude Demorest

Jude Demorest, born Claire Jude Demorest on March 11, 1992, is an American actress and singer. She gained recognition for her roles in the television series Dallas and Star. Raised in Michigan, Demorest grew up in a religious family and received a performing arts education at a church-affiliated school. At the age of 16, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting, eventually signing with Epic Records under producer L.A. Reid. Demorest began her career with minor roles and background dancing before landing a recurring role on Dallas. In 2016, she was cast in the lead role of the girl-group series Star after a nationwide search conducted by writer, director, and executive producer Lee Daniels.
