Collins is also recognized for her social activism and the clarity of her voice. She has released 36 studio albums, nine live albums, numerous compilation albums, four holiday albums, and 21 singles. Her debut studio album, 'A Maid of Constant Sorrow,' was released in 1961. Collins gained international prominence with her single 'Both Sides, Now,' written by Joni Mitchell, which reached No. 8 on the Billboard charts.
