Julia Ling, also known as Xiao Wei Lin, is an American actress. She is best known for her recurring roles in popular NBC series such as ER, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, and as a series regular on Chuck. Ling was born in Temple City, California, to Chinese grandparents who fled to Cambodia during the Second Sino-Japanese War. Her parents later migrated to the United States before her birth to escape the Cambodian genocide. Ling's artistic talent was recognized from a young age, winning awards for storytelling and performing award-winning solo dances. In addition to her acting career, Ling studied biomedical chemical engineering at UCLA while actively participating in various student organizations.
