Julia Anne Sweeney is an American actress, comedian, and author. She gained fame as a cast member on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live from 1990 to 1994. Sweeney has appeared in various TV shows and films including Stuart Little, Father of the Pride, Shrill, Work in Progress, and American Gods. Born and raised in Spokane, Washington, Sweeney comes from an Irish Catholic background. She is the oldest of five children and attended Marycliff High School and Gonzaga Preparatory School. Sweeney's talent for imitating voices and inventing characters was evident from a young age.
