Julie Adams, born Betty May Adams on October 17, 1926, was an American actress known for her extensive television guest roles. She started her career as Julia Adams but later changed her billing name to Julie. In the 1950s, Adams starred in several films, including Bend of the River (1952) alongside James Stewart and Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954). On television, she is remembered for her roles as Paula Denning in Capitol, a soap opera from the 1980s, and Eve Simpson in Murder, She Wrote. Born in Waterloo, Iowa, Adams moved frequently with her family before settling in Blytheville, Arkansas, for eight years. At the age of 19, she won the title of 'Miss Little Rock' and then relocated to Hollywood to pursue her acting career.
