Julie Atherton

Julie Atherton is a British actress, singer, and director. She is known for originating the roles of Kate Monster and Lucy the Slut in the West End production of Avenue Q, as well as playing Sister Mary Robert in the first UK tour of Sister Act: The Musical. Atherton released her debut album, A Girl of Few Words, in 2006 and has since released two more albums. She grew up in Preston, Lancashire, England, and attended Cardinal Newman College before training at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Atherton's early career included roles in Let Him Have Justice and the lead role of Sophie in the West End production of Mamma Mia! (2000).
