Julie Beth Hagerty is an American actress, born on June 15, 1955, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She gained recognition for her role as Elaine in the films Airplane! (1980) and Airplane II: The Sequel (1982). Throughout her career, Hagerty has appeared in various other movies, including A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy (1982), Lost in America (1985), What About Bob? (1991), She’s the Man (2006), A Master Builder (2014), Instant Family (2018), Noelle, Marriage Story (both 2019), and A Christmas Story Christmas (2022). Hagerty attended Indian Hill High School and began her career as a model with Ford Models at the age of 15. She later ventured into acting, making her off-Broadway debut in 1979. Hagerty is also known for her brother, Michael Hagerty, who was also an actor.
