Julie Halston (born December 7, 1954) is an American actress and comedian known for her work in television, film, and theatre. She gained fame for her performances on Broadway, earning four Drama Desk Award nominations. In 2020, she received the Isabelle Stevenson Award at the 74th Tony Awards. Halston is best known for her role as socialite Bitsy von Muffling in the HBO comedy series Sex and the City, as well as its film continuation and the sequel series, And Just Like That.... Born in Flushing, Queens, Halston grew up in Commack, Long Island. She graduated cum laude from Hofstra University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre arts.
