Julie Moran (née Bryan) is an American journalist, television host, and sportscaster. Born on January 10, 1962, in the United States, she made a name for herself as the first female solo host for Wide World of Sports, following in the footsteps of Becky Dixon. From 1994 to 2001, Moran was the weekend anchor and co-host for Entertainment Tonight. In 2001, she also had the opportunity to host the Academy Awards pre-show. Moran comes from a family with a background in athletics and education. Her father, Paul Bryan Jr., received athletic scholarships to the University of Georgia, while her mother, Barbara Dupree, was a high school teacher. Moran continues to make notable contributions to the world of television and broadcasting.
