Julie Peasgood
Julie Peasgood is an English actress, television presenter, author, and voiceover artist. Born on May 28, 1956, in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, Peasgood is best known for her role as Fran Pearson in the television soap Brookside from 1991 to 1993. She has also appeared as Jo Steadman in Emmerdale in 1997 and Jacqui Hudson in Hollyoaks from 2001 to 2002. Peasgood comes from a working-class background, with her mother being a former tightrope walker and juggler in Bertram Mills Circus. She attended Grimsby's Wintringham School and trained at the Arts Educational School in London. Peasgood left the school early to take on the lead role in 'Cherryripe and the Lugworm Digger' for ITV.
