Julius La Rosa (January 2, 1930 – May 12, 2016) was an American traditional popular music singer, known for his work in both radio and television. Born to Italian-immigrant parents in Brooklyn, La Rosa attended P.S. 123K in Bushwick. After finishing high school, he joined the United States Navy and served as a radioman. During his time in the Navy, he sang in a choir and performed at various venues to earn money. La Rosa's talent caught the attention of radio and television personality Arthur Godfrey, who offered him a job after a successful audition. He made appearances on Godfrey's television show and continued to have a successful career in the entertainment industry.
