Julyana Soelistyo Biography
Julyana Soelistyo is an Indonesian-born American stage and film actress. She gained recognition in 1998 when she was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for her performance in Golden Child. Soelistyo was born to Roman Catholic parents in Sumatra, Indonesia and later attended school in Penang, Malaysia. She studied piano and violin before pursuing her passion for acting. Soelistyo appeared in various productions during her time at Oregon State University and later earned her MFA from San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater. Notable performances include playing the title characters in Seattle Children's Theatre plays Naomi's Road, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and Still Life with Iris.
