June Carryl is an American actress and playwright. Born on June 10, 1967, she has made numerous television appearances, including roles in popular shows like Mindhunter. Raised in Denver by her single mother, Carryl grew up with two younger siblings. She initially planned on becoming a lawyer, but later switched to English Literature in graduate school. After studying playwriting, she received the AADA Award Saroyan/Paul Award for Plays About Human Rights in 2017 for her play 'THE GOOD MINISTER FROM HARARE.' Following a teacher's suggestion, Carryl pursued acting and was eventually drafted into a class soap opera. She continues to be active in both acting and playwriting.
