Jung Woo-sung (born April 22, 1973) is a South Korean actor and the first Korean UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador. Starting as a fashion model, Jung rose to fame with the gangster film Beat (1997), winning Best New Actor at the 17th Korean Association of Film Critics Awards. He is known for his versatility, playing leading roles in various genres such as high-grossing box office hits like Steel Rain (2017), The King (2017), and Cold Eyes (2013). Jung's popularity extends beyond Korea, particularly in Japan. His notable works include martial arts film Reign of Assassins (2010), romantic films A Moment to Remember (2004) and A Good Rain Knows (2009), and historical epic Musa (2001). He received critical acclaim for his performance in Innocent Witness (2019), which earned him the Best Actor award.
