Jamieson "Junior" Brown (born June 12, 1952) is an American country guitarist and singer. Known for his unique sound, Brown is recognized for his mastery of the "guit-steel" double neck guitar, a hybrid of electric guitar and lap steel guitar. Brown has released twelve studio albums in his career and has charted twice on the Billboard country singles charts. Born in Cottonwood, Arizona and raised in Kirksville, Indiana, Brown began his music career in the 1960s, playing pedal steel and guitar for various groups. In the early 1980s, he joined Rank and File as a live performer. Brown's contributions to country music have made him a respected and influential figure in the industry.
