    Justin J. Pearson Biography
    Justin J. Pearson (born January 7, 1995) is an American activist and politician. He currently serves as a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives, representing the 86th district in Memphis. Pearson was elected in a special election in January 2023, succeeding Barbara Cooper. At the age of 28, he became the third youngest lawmaker in the Tennessee House of Representatives. Pearson, along with fellow state representative Justin Jones, was expelled in April 2023 for violating decorum rules during a gun control protest on the House floor. However, he was later reappointed by a unanimous vote of the members present at the Shelby County Board of Commissioners. Pearson was born in Memphis and spent part of his childhood in the Washington, D.C. area.
