Justin Kirk (born May 28, 1969) is an American actor known for his roles in both television and film. He gained recognition for portraying Prior Walter in the HBO miniseries Angels in America (2003), which earned him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie. Kirk is also well-known for his portrayal of Andy Botwin in the Showtime dark comedy series Weeds (2005–2012). Born in Salem, Oregon, he grew up in Union, Washington, and later moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota. After graduating, Kirk moved to New York City and attended the Circle in the Square Theatre School. He began his acting career on stage before transitioning to screen roles.
