Justine Indira Skyers, known professionally as Justine Skye, is an American singer. Born on August 24, 1995, in Brooklyn, New York City, Skye gained initial fame on Tumblr before signing with Atlantic Records at the age of 19. She comes from a Jamaican background, with her mother being an entertainment lawyer of Afro-Jamaican and Indo-Jamaican descent, and her father working as a corporate merchandiser VP. Skye began her singing career by performing songs for the book Rules to Rock By and gained attention with her cover of Drake's 'Headlines.' In 2012, she released her first mixtape, Skye High, and followed it up with her debut EP, Everyday Living.
