Born and raised in Los Angeles, Doubleday comes from a show business family, with both her parents being former professional actors. She began her acting career in 2002 with a role in the CBS procedural Without a Trace. In her early career, she played supporting roles in films such as Waiting... (2005) and Accepted (2006).
