Kang Ji-young

Kang Ji-young, also known as Jiyoung or JY, is a South Korean singer and actress. Born on January 18, 1994, in Paju, South Korea, she is a former member of the South Korean girl group Kara. Jiyoung joined Kara in 2008 at the age of 14, becoming the youngest member of the group. She gained recognition in Japan and was ranked #21 in CDTV Japan's Favorite Female Artist Ranking for 2011. In 2014, Jiyoung left Kara to focus on her studies, particularly acting and language skills in London. In 2022, she rejoined the group for their 15th anniversary promotions.
