Kara Janx

Kara Janx (born 17 September 1975) is a South African fashion designer and former contestant on Bravo's Project Runway. Born Kara Jankelowitz in Johannesburg, she moved to New York City after studying architecture. Janx launched her first fashion collection in 2002 and gained recognition in the industry. In 2009, she was awarded the title of International Sportswear Designer of the Year. In 2011, Janx successfully launched a bridal-wear line. Outside of her career in fashion, she married Sharone Sohayegh in 2007 and has two children. On Project Runway, Janx competed for eleven episodes before being eliminated.
