Karen Allen Biography
Karen Jane Allen (born October 5, 1951) is an American film and stage actress. She made her film debut in Animal House (1978) and gained recognition for her roles in Manhattan (1979) and The Wanderers (1979). Allen's breakthrough came as Marion Ravenwood in Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), earning her the Saturn Award for Best Actress. She has also appeared in Shoot the Moon (1982), Starman (1984), and Scrooged (1988). Allen's work extends to the stage, including performances in The Glass Menagerie (1987) and Year by the Sea (2016). Her portrayal of Marion was reprised in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008).
