Karen Austin

Karen Austin is an American actress known for her roles in both television and film. In the late 1970s, she made a name for herself through guest appearances on popular shows like Happy Days, The Rockford Files, CHiPs, and Dallas. In 1984, Austin landed a significant role as Lana Wagner on the sitcom Night Court, but her tenure on the show was cut short due to her Bell's palsy. She appeared in 10 episodes before being asked to leave, and her character was replaced for the remaining eight seasons. Austin also had notable film appearances, including Summer Rental (1985), Jagged Edge (1985), and The Ladies Club (1986). She was married to Kris Slava at the age of 19 and divorced seven years later.
