Karen Kondazian is an American actress and author, born on January 27, 1950, in Newton, Massachusetts. She comes from an Armenian family and attended Abraham Lincoln High School. Kondazian received her B.A. from San Francisco State College and graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. She has had a successful career in theater, starring in productions such as The Rose Tattoo and Master Class. Kondazian is a recipient of the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Actress and has won four Drama-Logue Awards. She has also appeared on television shows like Shannon, Wiseguy, Frasier, and NYPD Blue. As a child, she even made an appearance on Art Linkletter's Kids Say the Darndest Things.
