Karen Lynn Gorney Biography
Karen Lynn Gorney (born 1946) is an American actress known for her roles in television shows and films. She gained recognition for her portrayal in the soap opera All My Children and her appearance in the iconic movie Saturday Night Fever. Born in Los Angeles and raised in New York City, Gorney is the daughter of Jay Gorney, a Polish-born composer. She attended the High School of Performing Arts and went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Fine Arts from Brandeis University. Gorney's film debut was in David and Lisa (1962), and she later appeared in The Magic Garden of Stanley Sweetheart (1970).
