Karen Meagher Biography
Karen Meagher, formerly Karen Lloyd, is a British actress known for her roles in various television shows and films. Born in Rock Ferry, Birkenhead in Cheshire, Meagher's acting career began with her portrayal of a skivvy in the 1979 TV series The Mallens. She gained recognition for her role as teacher Miss Broom in the BBC children's program Jonny Briggs in the 1980s. Meagher's most notable role came in 1984 when she played Ruth Beckett in the BBC nuclear war drama Threads, where she aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of nuclear war. She has also appeared in other TV shows and films, including Chernobyl: The Final Warning.
