Karina Fernandez Biography
Karina Fernandez is a British actress known for her performances in several of Mike Leigh's films, including Another Year, Happy-Go-Lucky, and Mr. Turner. After graduating from Drama Centre London, Fernandez began her regular theatre work in 1997, appearing in plays such as Shopping and Fucking and Woody Allen's Murder Mysteries. She has also showcased her talent in Shakespearean works, playing Ophelia in Hamlet, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, and Lady Macduff in Macbeth. Fernandez has made regular appearances on British television, featuring in shows such as Twenty Twelve, My Family, The Forsyte Saga, Married Single Other, and Killing Eve. Her first major film role was in the critically acclaimed Happy-Go-Lucky, where she portrayed a flamenco teacher from Seville. She is also an instructor at City Academy, London.
