Karl Julian Theobald (born August 5, 1969) is an English actor and comedian. He is best known for his role as 'Landlord' in the TV series Plebs and as Martin Dear in the Channel 4 sitcom Green Wing. Born in Great Yarmouth and raised in Lowestoft, Theobald attended The Denes High School and studied at the Drama Centre London before working with Theatre de Complicite. He was once a comedy partner of Russell Brand and appeared in the TV programmes The Sketch Show and Smack the Pony. Theobald has also appeared in the radio sitcom The Exterminating Angels and the film Get Him to the Greek.
