Karl Yune (born April 16, 1975) is an American actor known for his roles in various films and TV shows. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Maseo Yamashiro in the DC comics TV series Arrow, and for his role as Tak Mashido in the sci-fi film Real Steel. Yune also appeared as Koichi in the film Memoirs of a Geisha. He got his first lead role in the cult thriller Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid, where he played the character Tran. Yune, a Korean American, was born and raised in Washington, D.C. He studied business, literature, and philosophy before pursuing a major in theater at Columbia University School of the Arts in New York.
