Karri Kathleen Turner is an American television actress known for her role as Lieutenant Harriet Sims in the television series JAG. She was born on December 21, 1966, in Fort Worth, Texas, and raised in Bentonville, Arkansas. Turner attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in southern California after considering a Drama/Tele/Film degree at Oklahoma's Oral Roberts University. She was also a member of The Groundlings, an improvisational comedy troupe. Turner has appeared in films like Get Smart and An American Carol, and had recurring roles in Caroline in the City, The X-Files, and South Park. She has also performed for troops stationed in Iraq alongside comedians Kathy Griffin and Michael McDonald.
