Karyn Parsons Rockwell, born on October 8, 1966, is an American actress, author, and comedian. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Hilary Banks on the popular NBC sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air from 1990 to 1996. Parsons also appeared in the 1995 film Major Payne alongside Damon Wayans and played Toni on the television series The Job from 2001 to 2002. Born in Los Angeles, California, Parsons comes from a biracial background. Her mother, Louise (Hankerson) Parsons, was African-American, and her father, Kenneth B. Parsons, had English and Welsh ancestry. She attended Santa Monica High School and has made notable contributions to both television and film.
