Kate Ashfield

Kate Ashfield is an English actress and screenwriter, known for her stage, TV and film roles. Born on 28 May 1972 in Oldham, England, she developed a passion for acting at an early age and studied drama at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Ashfield's career took off in the nineties with appearances in popular British TV shows like The Bill and EastEnders. She gained widespread recognition for her role as Liz in the 2004 zombie comedy Shaun of the Dead. Ashfield also co-wrote the 2017 TV series Born to Kill. Her notable performances include This Year's Love, Late Night Shopping, Beyond the Gates, The Baker, and Line of Duty.
