    Kate Phillips is a British actress, born on May 21, 1989. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Jane Seymour in the acclaimed miniseries Wolf Hall (2015). Following this, she appeared in the miniseries War & Peace (2016), the first season of The Crown (2016), and the last three seasons of Peaky Blinders (2016–2022). Phillips showcased her talent as Princess Mary in the 2019 film Downton Abbey. Since 2020, she has taken on the role of Eliza Scarlet, the lead character in the Victorian era crime drama Miss Scarlet and The Duke. Phillips studied at Leeds University and later attended The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. She made her professional debut in The Crucible at the West Yorkshire Playhouse.
