Kate Pierson

Kate Pierson, born Catherine Elizabeth Pierson on April 27, 1948, is an American singer, lyricist, and founding member of the B-52's. She is known for her distinctive wide-ranging singing voice and her role as a keyboard player for the band. Pierson has collaborated with various artists including the Ramones, Iggy Pop, and R.E.M. In addition to her work with the B-52's, she released her first solo album, 'Guitars and Microphones,' in February 2015. The album features material co-written by Sia. Pierson possesses a mezzo-soprano vocal range and continues to contribute to the music industry with her unique sound and vibrant stage presence.
