    Kate Wetherhead is an American actress, writer, and director known for her work on Submissions Only, Legally Blonde, and the Jack and Louisa book series. Born in Burlington, Vermont, to Christine and Arnold Wetherhead, Kate began acting at age six and writing at seven. She discovered her passion for theater after witnessing a local production of West Side Story. Kate appeared in various shows at the University of Vermont, including Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and The Miracle Worker. She holds a bachelor's degree in English from Wesleyan University and received acting training at Circle in the Square Theatre School. Wetherhead started her career in children's theater and has performed in off-Broadway productions such as Sarah, Plain and Tall, Tatjana in Color, Summer of the Swans, and Cam Jansen. Additionally, she has toured with A Christmas Carol. Kate made her Broadway debut in 2005 as an understudy for several characters in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
