She began her acting career in 1989 with a small role in the TV series MacGyver. Isabelle gained recognition for her portrayal of Ginger Fitzgerald in the Ginger Snaps film series, consisting of Ginger Snaps, Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed, and Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning. In 2014, she received the Fangoria Chainsaw Award for Best Actress for her performance in the Canadian body horror film American Mary. Isabelle was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, to Graeme Murray and Gail Johnson Murray. She has a paternal half-brother, Joshua Murray, who is a director and former actor.
