Katherine Clark

Katherine Marlea Clark is an American lawyer and politician. Born on July 17, 1963, she currently serves as House Minority Whip, representing Massachusetts's 5th congressional district since 2013. Prior to her current position, she served as Assistant Speaker from 2021 to 2023 and Vice Chair of the House Democratic Caucus from 2019 to 2021. Clark began her political career in the Massachusetts House of Representatives in 2008 and later served in the Massachusetts Senate from 2011 to 2013. She has been involved in various legislative efforts focusing on criminal justice, education, and municipal pensions. Clark is recognized for her contributions to Massachusetts state government and her ongoing service in Congress.
