She gained recognition for her role as Hannah Baker in the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why (2017–2018), which earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination. Langford has appeared in various independent films and went on to star in Love, Simon (2018), Knives Out (2019), Spontaneous (2020), and the Netflix series Cursed (2020). She was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia, and comes from a medical background with her mother being a paediatrician and her father working as a flying doctor. Langford also has a younger sister, Josephine, who is also an actress.
